Self-Esteem Assessment

This self-assessment is designed to help you identify if you have some symptoms of poor self esteem that may benefit from professional help. It is meant to help you examine your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and is not designed to take the place of a professional diagnosis or consultation. Answer each item with yes or no.

  1. Do I believe my worth and value is less than other peoples?
  2. Am I sensitive to the criticism or perceived criticism of others?
  3. Do I put on a false front with others in an attempt to be what I think they want?
  4. Am I quick to apologize or take blame regardless of whether I’ve done anything wrong?
  5. Do I socially withdraw from relationships or social situations to protect myself from others judgements?
  6. Do I shrink back from pursuing my goals and dreams because I’m scared of failing?
  7. Do I often experience self-critical thoughts or feel shame when I make a mistake or a situation does not go as planned?
  8. Do I feel hopeless or defeated in my life?
  9. Do I experience a lot of self-doubt which makes it hard to make decisions?
  10. Do I avoid making eye contact or look down when I’m around others?

If you answered "yes" to any of the above questions, you may be struggling with low self esteem.  Contact me today if you have any questions or if you would like to schedule an initial consult.
