As women in this culture, we easily become so focused on helping and nurturing others that we disconnect from ourselves, our bodies and our needs. This can gradually lead to depression, negative thinking, poor body-image and low self-esteem. We then try even harder to focus on others to feel better, but it no longer works, and we end up feeling STUCK in our thoughts and continuing to engage in unhealthy habits or behaviors!
